Synopsis

What if the next president of the French Republic was… black ? Fiction or possibility ?…The documentary questions the place of minorities within the French political life. Through the testimony of diverse elected representative and the portrait of Gaston Monnerville, a french politician coming from overseas who nearly became president in 1953, the film tries to understand by which ways they reached political life and questions the evolution of diversity throug time. Would not France have more easily left the access to power to ethnic minorities in the past ?
